Frank Shamrock Set For Strikeforce Return in March

Strikeforce commentator and mixed martial arts veteran Frank Shamrock is going to put down the microphone and journey back into the cage in March of 2010. Shamrock was on The MMA Hour and stated that he would be on an unannounced card that takes place in the “first week or so of March.” Shamorock (23-10-2) is currently coming off of a second-round TKO loss to Nick Diaz and he has lost three of his previous four fights. Bobby Lashley vs. Shane Del Rosario in the works for Strikeforce: Miami

Bobby Lashley has recently signed with Strikeforce and it appears he will be in action soon. MMA Worldwide reported that Lashley (4-0) has received an offer and the paperwork has been signed. The opponent would be fellow undefeated heavyweight Shane Del Rosario (9-0). Rosario’s camp confirmed to MMA Worldwide that he has also received an offer for the fight and it is signed. Thiago Silva and Rashad Evans UFC 108 Pre-Fight Interviews

Baroni Has Not Agreed to Fight Marcus Davis at UFC 111

Several reports including one from MMAMania.com which stated Phil Baroni and Marcus Davis had agreed to fight at UFC 111 appear to be false. Baroni has said that he still is not healthy following the beatdown he received at the hands of TUF 7 winner Amir Sadollah at UFC 106. Baroni is planning on taking some time off to change and that will include a change of scenery. The injury-plagued UFC 108 is will take place on Jan. 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Headlining the event is a light-heavyweight battle between top contenders Rashad Evans (13-1-1) and Thiago Silva (14-1). Marcus Davis vs. Phil Baroni Possible for UFC 111

UFC 111 is set to take place in Newark, New Jersey and the event will be headlined by a welterweight title match between Georges St. Pierre and Dan Hardy. MMAMania.com is reporting that two other heavyweights will be throwing down for the fans. Bellator Signs British Star Welterweight Jim Wallhead

The Bellator Fighting Championship has made a huge splash today. They have signed one of the top welterweights in the world, “Judo” Jim Wallhead (18-5).  Wallhead joins Dan Hornbuckle (19-2), Jacob McClintock (6-0) and Ben Askren (3-0) as participants in the organizations welterweight tournament. Mike Brown to Return at WEC 46 Against Anthony Morrison
