Spike TV and ZUFFA are pairing up yet again to expand mixed martial arts on cable television. The network will premiere the new “Best of Pride” series starting Friday, Jan. 15.
The UFC purchased PRIDE FC in 2007 for around $70 million. Since acquiring the organization, the UFC hasn’t done much but take many of the top fighters from PRIDE and add them to their own roster. That will all change when the PRIDE video library will now be shared.
“Best of Pride” is set to air some of the most memorable and historic fights in MMA history. Hopefully many of the sports newer fans will be exposed to the history and gain more understanding and knowledge of where the sport has come from.
