Strikeforce Challengers VI will get underway tonight live on Showtime from the San Jose Civic Auditorium. After a late change of main events, the card is set to be headlined by a bout between two of the top women in the sport, Takayo Hashi and Sarah Kaufman.
Hashi vs. Kaufman will be for the first-ever Strikeforce women’s welterweight title.
The night’s co-main event will feature MMA veteran Trevor Prangley taking on up and comer Karl “Psycho” Amoussou. Prangley will be looking to use his experience to get the win as the M-1 Global product Amoussou will be looking to prove to the national audience that he is for real.

It ís about time Strikeforce created a women's weight category that is different from the mens'.
Altough Kaufman is 145, in women's division, it is now the welterweight division, unlike the mens' division, which would be featherweight (145).
