The highly anticipated bout between light-heavyweights Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans is now officially signed. Jackson put his signature on the contract at 10 p.m. Australian time on Friday. The bout will serve as the main event for UFC 114 in Las Vegas. Both fighters have now signed the contract. The two were supposed to fight at UFC 107 following their time as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter, but Rampage withdrew from the bout to focus on his acting career. After a temporary retirement, Rampage is returning to action.

Weigh-ins for UFC 110: Nogueira vs. Velasquez take place this evening in Sydney, Australia. It was just yesterday that Mirko Cro Cop learned his opponent for UFC 110, Ben Rothwell, had pulled out of the bout which was scheduled to air live in the United States on Saturday night. Rothwell fell ill and removed himself from the card. Australian veteran Anthony Perosh stepped in on short notice to take the fight with Cro Cop. There are reports that the UFC asked Randy Couture and “Rampage” Jackson to fight Cro Cop on short notice, but both fighters immediately turned the bout down. Ben Rothwell has been sidelined by an illness, forcing him out of his bout with Mirko Cro Cop. Australian veteran Anthony Perosh will step in to face Mirko Cro Cop. Rothwell is an IFL veteran and made his UFC debut last October when he suffered a TKO loss to UFC 110 main event participant Cain Velasquez. Anthony “The Hippo” Perosh steps in for the ill Rothwell.
