The long anticipated rematch between American Top Team standout Thiago Alves and top welterweight Jon Fitch has been postponed once again. The bout is scheduled to take place at UFC 117, which is expected to take place in Oakland. Alves had brain surgery to separate an artery from a vein in his brain. The irregularity forced “The Pitbull” out of the earlier scheduling at UFC 111 in New Jersey. Alves has not fought since UFC 100 when he dropped a match to champion Georges St. Pierre. Suspensions have been released from this past weekend’s WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber event. Eight fighters have been suspended a length six months for a variety of broken bones and knee injuries. World Extreme Cagefighting brought out all the stops this past weekend for their pay-per view debut with ‘Aldo vs. Faber.’ The WEC used familiar voices and personalities from the UFC like Dana White, Joe Rogan, Mike Goldberg and Bruce Buffer in hopes of bringing in some more fans. Spike TV officials announced today that The Ultimate Fighter season 11 finale will be headlined by a light-heavyweight battle between Matt Hamill and Keith Jardine. The event will be broadcast live on Spike TV from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jenna Jameson just told our photog she plans on pressing charges against Tito Ortiz. Fighting back tears, a clearly emotional Jenna was driving away from her home in Huntington Beach, CA moments ago — when she stopped and told our photog, “I’m gonna be alright.” Jenna — who was wearing giant sunglasses — continued, “My babies are alright … everything’s OK .. he’s in jail.” Jenna was accompanied by her father — the man who we’ve learned made the initial call to 911. It didn’t take long for some details to emerge from the earlier report that the Crime Scene Investigation Unit was called to the home of UFC fighter Tito Ortiz. TMZ.com is on top of the report and has said that Ortiz has been arrested for domestic violence. Per the report: TMZ has learned several police units have arrived at Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson’s house in Huntington Beach, CA after cops received a call about a “disturbance” this morning. Fight night bonuses have been awarded for the WEC’s debut on pay-per view. Manny Gamburyan, Benson Henderson, Leonard Garcia and Chan Sung Jung each earned $65,000 which is the largest bonus in the organization’s history. Winners of the bonuses were announced at the event’s post-fight press conference. Gamburyan received the “Knockout of the Night” award, Henderson brought in up the “Submission of the Night” bonus, and Garcia and Jung earned “Fight of the Night” honors.
