Congrats to Brock, by Shane Carwin

Brock Lesnar handed Shane Carwin the first loss of his career this past Saturday on the way to becoming the UFC’s undisputed heavyweight champion. Carwin posts from time to time on the popular mixed martial arts forum, The Underground, and he extended his congrats to Lesnar. He showed the heart of a Champion last night. Most men would fold under that kind of pressure. I really appreciate all the support and messages. I am honored to have had the chance to fight for the belt and will be working my ass off to get another shot. There are a lot [...]

UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar (5-1) had an incredible title defense in his last outing as he earned submission of the night honors over number one contender Shane Carwin. Bewtween his base salary, sponsorships, and pay-per-view bonus, expect Lesnar to rake in more than 2,000,000 in total for UFC 116. Below are other financial details: Chris [...]

AUTHOR: | IN: Brock Lesnar, MMA, Shane Carwin, UFC | COMMENTS: None Yet

In what is being billed the “biggest heavyweight fight in UFC history,” current champion Brock Lesnar and interim champ Shane Carwin will do battle in the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas to unify the organization’s heavyweight strap. Lesnar has been out of action for almost a year, since manhandling Frank Mir — the same opponent that Shane Carwin disposed of in March. Carwin is undefeated — 12-0 — with all twelve of his wins coming in the first-round. Lesnar will look to change that pattern and use his superior wrestling to hand Carwin the first loss of his career. [...]
