The Ultimate Fighter season 12 debuts a new episode tonight on Spike TV that features a special guest coach, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach. Roach will work with contestants on Team GSP on tonight’s episode, which features the final two quarterfinal bouts. The first quarterfinal bouts on tonight’s episode will be between HIT SQUAD jiu jitsu instructor Kyle Watson (Team GSP) and wild card winner Aaron Wilkinson (Team Koscheck). The always entertaining Leonard Garcia (14-6-1) will be returning to the UFC after three years of being away from the octagon. Garcia will be facing off against Tyler Toner (11-2) at The Ultimate Fighter season 12 finale. Garcia vs. Toner will be the first bout featuring the lighter weight class fighters from the UFC’s sister promotion, World Extreme Cagefighting. Last week at Grachan 5 in Japan, veteran referee Samio Kimura was knocked out in the cage after fighter Takeo “Cerberus Take” Shiina knocked out his opponent Jung Hyun Lee and then lost all form of self-control. Shiina knocked out his opponent and when Kimura jumped in to stop the fight, he continued to reign down punches until both Lee and Kimura were out. Various reports had been swirling that number one contender Rashad Evans was upset about being on the sidelines while he waits for UFC light-heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua to recover from knee surgery.
