Thiago Silva Out; Rashad Evans Steps In To Face Rampage At UFC 130

Rashad Evans was forced to withdraw from his UFC 128 title shot against Shogun Rua after spraining his knee in training. The timetable for his return is 4-8 weeks, and Evans was hoping to be back in action as soon as May. His wish was the UFC’s command.

With the latest news that Thiago Silva is forced out of his UFC 130 bout against Rampage Jackson, Evans now has his fight. Sources have told MMAWeekly.com that Evans has stepped up and will face his arch rival at the event. Evans won the meeting the first time around.

The two will lock horns again after no love has been lost. Rashad Evans recently said that he and Rampage recently had an altercation at a night club and he was wanting to fight Rampage again. He will get his chance. The bout will serve as the co-main event to the UFC lightweight championship between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard.

you should change this blog from MMA to UFC. The strikeforce heavyweight grandprix is HUGE in MMA and there was not ONE article on it. Seriously?? Fedor, Griggs, Arlovski… how could nobody write about this? Throwing in a random article about a Bellator signing does not make this an mma blog.

Also Fedor is definitely the #1 heavyweight. He destroys every other heavyweight. There is no way to deny what he has done.

Talk about over-hyping a fight. You all over posted on UFC 126 when everyone knew there was not a shot in hell Belfort could beat Silva.

Lastly, Rampage is not facing Evans. Evans is injured and had to pull out of UFC 128. Hamill is getting Rampage. But its no surprise Evans is talking out of his ass once again.
