RUMOR: Carlos Condit To Replace Jon Fitch Against BJ Penn At UFC 132

The news broke earlier today that top ranked welterweight Jon Fitch has been forced out of his UFC 132 rematch against BJ Penn with a shoulder injury. Word is that Greg Jackson’s Carlos Condit will step up in competition and be Fitch’s replacement. Condit is currently riding a three-fight win streak defeating the likes of Jake Ellenberger, Rory MacDonald and most recently a highlight reel knockout over British slugger Dan Hardy. Brock Lesnar: Some TUF Contestants Were Not So Great

Season 13 of The Ultimate Fighter debuts tonight on Spike TV. Leading up to the show, Brock Lesnar has been on a media tour and doing his best to promote the upcoming season. Thiago Silva Admits Altering Uring Sample; Releases Statement

When the Nevada State Athletic commission released the information that Thiago Silva delivered a urine sample that was not consistent with human urine following UFC 125, people were stunned and confused. There had been reports for a while that Silva failed his drug test, but no one could have imagined that Silva would have submitted an altered sample. Today, Silva released a statement and excepted full responsibility for his actions. The Ultimate Fighter 13 Debuts Tonight At 9:00 PM ET

The Ultimate Fighter Season 13 premiers tonight, at 9:00 PM EST / 6:00 PM PST on Spike TV. The season focuses on welterweight hopefuls as they are led by coaches Brock Lesnar and Junior Dos Santos. The two coaches will ultimately face off at the end of the season in Vancouver at UFC 131. TUF13′s live finale will take place on June 4th in Las Vegas. Here is a preview for the upcoming season:

Thiago Silva Submitted Non-Human Urine Sample

A complaint has been filed against UFC 125 participant Thiago Silva by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. According to the complaint, Silva is being accused of supplying a urine sample that was not from a human source. At UFC 125, Silva easily defeated Brandon Vera. Fighters Only Magazine received an email from the Nevada State Athletic Commission detailing the allegations against Silva. The details can be read after the jump.

Eddie Bravo Breaks Down The Korean Zombie’s ‘Twister’ At UFC Fight Night

“The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung became the first fighter in UFC history to earn a victory by way of the Twister submission. The twister originates from a wrestling technique referred to as the guillotine, but Brazilians renamed the move after they already had a guillotine in their terminology. Figueroa, Lombard, Magalhaes and Taylor Pick Up Weekend Wins

Clipped from: mmajunkie.com (share this clip) Lightweight Jose Figueroa and middleweight Magomed Sultanakhmedov both picked up M-1 titles this past weekend during the organization’s Showtime debut. The two fighters won the co-headlining bouts at M-1 Challenger 24, which took place this past Friday at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Va. “The Ultimate Fighter 8″ runner-up Vinny Magalhaes also secured a title shot with a victory on the night’s card.

The Korean Zombie Records First Twister Submission In UFC History

In the Leonard Garcia vs. Chan Sung Jung rematch, “The Korean Zombie” evened the score in impressive fashion. With one second remaining in the second round, Jung forced Garcia to tap from an epic twister. It was the first win in UFC history by way of twister. Here is a GIF of the submission:

Richard Hale Victorious By Way Of Inverted Triangle (Video)

The mixed martial arts world was treated to two incredible submissions tonight. The first one was by Richard Hale in Bellator as he was victorious by way of inverted triangle. The other was The Korean Zombie’s twister finish of Leonard Garcia at UFC Fight Night. Check out the video of Hale’s inverted triangle — the second to occur in Bellator. Toby Imada won Submission of the Year with the move in 2009:
