Bellator 40 Ratings Improve; Second Most Watched Show This Season

Bellator Fighting Championships saw their ratings boost 25 percent for their latest event, Bellator 40. The broadcast brought in 218,000 viewers on MTV2 and became the second most watched event for the organization this season.

Bellator 40 was headlined by a welterweight superfight between champion Ben Askren and long-time veteran Nick Thompson. Also featured were two semifinal tournament bouts, which had Jay Hieron and Michael Chandler advancing to the finals of the welterweight and lightweight tournaments.

  • Bellator 36 ratings: 230,000
  • Bellator 37 ratings: 173,000
  • Bellator 38 ratings: 150,000
