Krzysztof Soszynski, John Howard, and Rich Attonito all have new opponents due to injuries, as announced by UFC.com.
This is the third time for “The Polish Experiment”, as his original opponent, Anthony Perosh, also went down with an injury. It was reported last night that replacement Igor Pokrajac, also went down with an undisclosed injury. Stepping in on 4 days notice is Mike Massenzio, who is coming back to the promotion after being released in August of last year. The bout will be a part of the Facebook/YouTube stream announced earlier for UFC 131.
UFC on Versus 4 in Pittsburgh, PA has had another shakeup to its lineup. With Martin Kampmann forced to withdraw (undisclosed injury), Matt Brown has taken the opportunity to appear on the main card. Brown is trying to end a career low 3 fight losing streak, a loss will most likely see an end to his stint with the promotion.
With Brown moving to the main card, his original opponent, Rich Attonito is slated face Daniel Roberts. Both fighters are looking to bounce back from losses, with Roberts fighting in April against Claude Patrick. The Team Gracie fighter will be taking the fight on three weeks notice.
Both cards have seen their share of injuries, with UFC 131 headliner Brock Lesnar pulling out of the main event, as well as UFC on Versus 4 headliner Anthony “Rumble” Johnson.
