It appears that Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos has suffered a shoulder injury in training and will be forced to withdraw from his scheduled July 30th bout against British slugger Paul Daley, sources close to Cyborg’s camp told MMAprime.tv. The fight, which was scheduled for “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson,” surely would have provided fireworks and the winner would have been one step closer to claiming the Strikeforce welterweight title which was vacated by Nick Diaz — the last man to defeat both Daley and Cyborg. “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson” will take place at Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. There is no word [...]

Strikeforce and DREAM heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem is looked at as a dominating force in the sport. There is no questioning his physical prowess, but his resume is less than stellar and it leaves a lot to desire. Since winning the DREAM heavyweight title in 2007, Overeem has only defended his title twice. Why is one of the “most dominant heavyweights” not putting his title on the line and facing top competition. Like Fedor Emelianenko, “The Reem” is only hurting himself by not fighting the best. Tim Marchman of Sports Illustrated had some harsh words for the heavyweight champ and [...]
Josh Barnett: Line The UFC Heavyweights Up
“There’s no way for me to make those fights (vs UFC fighters) happen. If there are those opportunities out there, just line the son of a b—–s up and I’ll just put all their heads on a pike and use them to decorate my fortress.”

This is the third time for “The Polish Experiment”, as his original opponent, Anthony Perosh, also went down with an injury.
