Cameron Dollar vs. Carlo Prater slated for LFC Main Event; HDNet Debut

The Ultimate Fighter 9 semi finalist Cameron Dollar looks to extend his five fight winning streak when he faces Carlo Prater in the main event at Legacy Fighting Championships. This is the Texas promotions debut event for HDNet, and its seventh event overall. It takes place in Houston at the Arena Theater on July 22nd. UFC 131 Preliminary Fights to stream free on YouTube and Facebook

Saturday night the UFC will continue its run of aired Preliminary fights with UFC 131: Carwin vs. Dos Santos, adding a bit of a twist. In addition to the traditional airing of fights on Facebook, the prelims will be shown on YouTube. Which could help lessen the strain on the Facebook stream, and give people who don’t use the social networking service a chance to see the fights. Gina Carano Fails Medical Clearance; Will Not Fight June 18

Gina Carano’s (7-1 MMA, 1-1 SF) return to action will have to wait. Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker today announced that Carano’s “medical clearance was revoked,” leaving her ineligible to compete in a previously announced June 18 contest with Sarah D’Alelio (4-1 MMA, 0-0 SF) at “Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum.” With the contest scrapped, a lightweight bout between K.J. ‘Strikeforce: Fedor vs Henderson’ Poster; Still Co-Branded With M-1

The official poster for “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson”  has surfaced and there is an interesting thing to note. The event is being co-promoted by Strikeforce and Fedor’s management company, M-1 Global. The news is a bit surprising considering the rocky relationship between M-1 and Zuffa brass. For those living under a rock, Zuffa purchased Strikeforce. The relationship between M-1 and Zuffa has had a negative effect on negotiations in the past when the UFC was trying to sign Fedor. Dana White Calls To The MMA Community For Help

The New York State Assembly’s Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development committee voted yesterday on a bill to regulate MMA in the state. After the vote, MMA is now one step closer to being voted into regulation in New York. The bill passed by a 16-3 vote. Now there is one final hurdle for the bill to pass. The bill needs to make it’s way to the full asembly floor for a vote and to be passed. UFC Pay-Per Views Will Be Available On XBOX Live

Dana White was at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) today and made a big announcement. The UFC president announced that UFC pay-per views will now be available for a live stream on XBOX Live. More events like weigh-ins, press conferences and perhaps Q&A’s will be available on XBOX Live, too, as part of a new deal with the UFC and Microsoft. This is just the latest step by the UFC in their strong campaign with social media. Royler Gracie Sends Open Letter To His Fans

Four-time World Jiu Jitsu champion Royler Gracie was reportedly scheduled to have a rematch against 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu founder Eddie Bravo. Bravo upset Gracie by triangle choke when they first met each other at the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship in 2003. However, the anticipated superfight has hit a road block. In an open letter to his fans, Royler Gracie explains his thoughts and the situation regardging the ADCC superfight.
