Championship Fighting Alliance 2 took place Saturday night at the U.S. Century Bank Arena in Miami, Florida. Two notable UFC veterans — TUF winner Efrain Escudero and MMA Underground legend Sean McCorkle — were in action and came away with victories.

Escudero defeated the previously unbeaten Mike Rio via unanimous decision. The win over Rio gets Escudero back on the right track after suffering a loss in his last bout to Fabricio Camoes. Escudero’s record improved to 17-3 and he is now 4-1 since leaving the UFC.

In the night’s main event, Sean McCorkle submitted Cameron Befort with a kimura just over a minute into the fight. It was McCorkle’s first fight since suffering back-to-back losses and being released from the UFC. “Big Sexy” now moves to 11-2 and hopes to get back into the UFC with a few more wins.
