‘UFC 135: Jones vs. Rampage’ Tickets On Sale This Week

UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones will be making his first title defense in Denver, Colorado at UFC 135 against Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. The event will take place September 24th at the Pepsi Center. Also on the card is a co-main event bout between legend Matt Hughes and TUF champion Diego Sanchez. Tickets will be going on sale this week. Details available after the jump.

Lil Nog Injured; Out of UFC 133 Bout With Rich Franklin

Clipped from: www.tatame.com (share this clip) Yet another injury has hit the UFC 133 fight card. This time, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has been forced off of the card due to an undisclosed injury. Lil Nog is the third 205-pounder to be hit with an injury. First it was main event participant Phil Davis, then prelim fighter Vladimir Matyushenko and now the younger Nogueira. He was scheduled to face Rich Franklin in the night’s co-main event. The UFC is looking for a replacement.

Matt Hamill Replaces Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC 133

The UFC 133 fight card has not been kind to the 205-pounders. First, main event participant Phil Davis was forced out of his scheduled bout against Rashad Evans and today news came out that Vladimir Matyushenko has also been forced to withdraw from the card. Matyushenko was originally scheduled to face Alexander Gustafsson on the night’s preliminary card. With “The Janitor” out of the fight with an undisclosed injury, the inspirational Matt Hamill got the call. Rashad Evans vs. Tito Ortiz is the New Main Event For UFC 133

UFC president Dana White has confirmed via his Twitter account that the new headlining bout at UFC 133 in Philadelphia will be a rematch between Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz. The two previously faced off at UFC 73 in 2007 and fought to a draw. They will be looking to settle the score at the Wells Fargo Center on August 6th. Ortiz is fresh off of an impressive submission win over up-and-comer Ryan Bader, while Evans is coming off of two wins, but has not fought since May of 2010.

REPORT: Phil Davis Injured; Lyoto Machida to Face Rashad Evans at UFC 133

UFC light-heavyweight Phil Davis was forced out of his UFC 133 booking against top contender Rashad Evans with a knee injury and he has already been replaced. The fine folks at HeadKickLegend have revealed that Lyoto Machida will step in on less than a months notice to face Evans. The winner is expected to face the winner of the UFC 135 title bout between Jon Jones and Rampage Jackson.
