Flyweights Will Try To Steal UFC on FX

The flyweights will get another opportunity to impress the fans at UFC on FX: Browne vs. Bigfoot. After mixed reviews from fans at UFC 152, John Dodson and Jussier Da Silva (Formiga) will have the opportunity to show why they are the most exciting fighters in the UFC.

Dodson has all the talent in the world and during The Ultimate Fighter 14 showed that ,although he was a natural flyweight, he had serious knockout power.

He brings knockout power to the flyweight division and may even give Demetrious Johnson a run for his money as faster fighter in the UFC.

Formiga, on the other hand, may have the best jiu-jitsu in the flyweight division. Prior to a loss to Ian McCall, Formiga was regarded as the No. 1 flyweight in the world.

The flyweight division keeps growing as the weight class keeps getting integrated into the UFC.

Dodson and Formiga can steal the show Friday by giving fans a fast paced fight with a lot of action. If either fighter finishes this fight it will only give more publicity to the division.

The winner could earn a title shot with an impressive win in a shallow division and both fighters could provide problems for the current champion.

Formiga will need to get this fight to the ground and use his jiu-jitsu to end it, but Dodson can end this fight with one punch and that’s a much scarier proposition.

Fifteen minutes is all it takes for fans to be sucked into a division and Dodson and Formiga have the ability to suck them into the flyweight division. The flyweights may have earned mixed reviews after UFC 152, but UFC on FX should provide fireworks.
