On one hand, the fighter whose nickname is “Evil” faces a challenge that fighters have before her. She is coming off of a back injury that had forced her to withdraw from her April 5 Bellator FC bout with Munah Holland.
On the other hand, she faces Damm at the Fight Night in the Flats 9, presented by the NAAFS promotion. While some may not see the promotion as big of an organization as Bellator, NAAFS is a home to Eye, whose career blossomed in the NAAFS cage.
Will the injury play a factor in the fight? Probably, A back injury can be hard to recover from. Damm also has a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and could use her grappling to her control Eye during the match and possibly get the submission.
Critics could also look at Damm’s two-fight losing streak and count her out during the fight. Still, Damm has made a reputation of fighting the best fighters in the women’s 125-pound division and Eye will be no different.
Putting the injury aside, Eye is coming off of a huge win over Zolia Frausto Gurgel. Although I have never personally met the Evil one, in the few times I’ve corresponded with her, I have seen her determination to be one of the top fighters of the world. If she beats Damm, she will be closer to her goal.
