A phenom of a different sort is making his way to the UFC.

Undefeated NAFC Bantamweight and RFA Flyweight champion Sergio “The Phenom” Pettis will be making his octagon debut against Vaughan Lee at UFC 167 in November. If the name sounds familiar it’s because he is the brother of current UFC Lightweight champion Anthony “Showtime” Pettis.

Sergio Pettis will be a fresh face to the UFC’s 135-pound division.

The Phenom is coming in with nine straight victories, his last one coming over James Porter, Sept. 28. After capturing the NAFC Bantamweight strap, he said he hoped to get a phone call from the UFC.

For Sergio Pettis, this move, while highly anticipated by fans and critics, will be a tough test for him. The UFC bantamweight division is filled with several fighters who have twice, if not three times, the experience he has.

Still, Sergio Pettis comes with many possibilities, like any fighter who makes their first appearance in a major promotion and a win over Lee would be the start of a great run for the Phenom.
