Tyrone Spong leads Glory onto Spike TV

Despite UFC leaving the network, Spike TV continues to air combat sports with Bellator MMA.

Now the network has added kick boxing to their programming. Glory, a European kick boxing promotion, aired its 11th event on Spike TV, Oct. 12.

The card featured a four-man heavyweight tournament won by Rico ‘The Prince’ Verhoeven. The event was headlined by kick boxing champion and World Series of Fighting veteran Tyrone Spong knocking out Nathan Corbett, early in the second round.

With Glory on Spike TV and Lion Fight having success on airing on AXS, kickboxing and Muay Thai could gain more success in the United States. For MMA fans who would prefer a striking match over a grappling war, Glory could be a something of a treat for them.

Spike TV will air Glory 12, Nov. 23, which will feature a four-man lightweight tournament.
