“The Phenom” Vitor Belfort has a chance to once again fight for a UFC championship. All he has to do is defeat Dan Henderson.

UFC President Dana White announced that Belfort would be up for a title shot if he beats Henderson. This will not be an easy task as “Hendo” defeated Belfort back in 2006, but with his home country behind him, The Phenom could score the win and avenge the loss he suffered seven years ago. If Belfort gets the win over Henderson, he should get the opportunity to once again fight for the title.

Belfort previously fought Anderson Silva for the title at UFC 126 back in 2011. Unfortunately things would not go his way as Silva delivered a front face kick that left The Phenom on the canvas.

Since then he has gone 4-1 in his last five fights. With each victory, The Phenom has lobbied for another shot at the middleweight championship, which may have fallen on deaf ears until now.

If Belfort does win, he will cut to the front of the line and face the winner of the Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman rematch, which takes place at UFC 168 in December.
