Benny Alloway returns to Cage Warriors

Cage Warriors continues to sign former UFC fighters.

One of the European promotion’s last acquitions is Austrailian fighter Benny “Benny Blanco” Alloway, who was released from the UFC after back-to-back losses to Ryan LaFlare and Zak Cummings. Prior to his losses, he defeated Manuel Rodriguez in the first round via knockout back in December 2012.

Alloway was also a contestant on “The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes” where a team of U.K. fighters, led by Ross Pearson went up against a team of Australian competitors, led by George Sotiropoulos. Alloway’s fight with Brad Scott was voted “Fight of the Season” and earned a bonus of $25,000.

Alloway fought for Cage Warriors in 2012 at Cage Warriors Fight Night 3, defeating Mauro Chimento Jr by decision. He will return to the promotion with a record of 13-5.

There is no doubt that Alloway’s experience will help him when he returns to Cage Warriors. With a few wins under his belt, he could challenge for the Cage Warriors Welterweight championship.

If Alloway does rack up a couple of impressive victories and decides to not fight for Cage Warriors title, there is a chance he could get a call from the UFC and fight in the octagon.
