Shayna Baszler should fight Sarah Moras in the octagon

With “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate” finale less than 24 hours away, there will be several women combatants that will stepping into the octagon for the first time including Jessica Rakoczy and Julianna “The Venezuelan Vixen” Pena, who will be competing in the finals of the “TUF 18“ women’s bantamweight tournament.

However there are two fighters from the show who will not be able to compete at the finale due to injury: Sarah “Cheesecake” Moras and Shayna “The Queen of Spades” Baszler.

While the other female contestants will compete in the finale, Moras and Baszler will have to wait to fight in the UFC. I think when they heal from their injuries, Cheesecake and the Queen should get to debuts in the octagon against each other.

This match would not only allow Moras and Baszler to live their dream in competing in the UFC, but also the fight would be great for fans.

Baszler submitted Super Fight League champion Colleen Schneider to get into the house. She was eliminated by Pena in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Moras defeated Tara LaRosa to get into the house and submitted Peggy Walker to make it to the semifinal of the tournament. She was eliminated by Pena in the semifinals of the tournament.

Baszler vs. Moras would be the classic bout between an established star, who has “The Queen’s Army” at her side vs. a hot prospect, whose fan base continues to grow by the day.

Baszler has a lot of fighting experience – enough to where she did not necessarily have to compete on “TUF” to fight in the UFC – and has fought some of the best women fighters in the world. The Queen also has great grappling, winning 14 of her fights by submission.

As for Moras, the Canadian fighter continues to improve with each fight. She came into the house with a record of 3-1. While Baszler has proven to be a master grappler, Moras has some grappling credentials of her own, having four submission victories between her amateur run and professional career.

One thing that will make this an exciting fight for the fans is both The Queen and Cheesecake love to scrap. Moras has good hands, but Baszler has a good chin. Although three of Baszler’s losses have been by TKO, two of them were against Cris “Cyborg” Justino and Tara LaRosa, which would be similar to getting losing by TKO to Wanderlei Silva and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

Whoever wins this match should face Pena and get a chance to avenge the loss they suffered at the hands of The Venezuelan Vixen.
