Anderson Silva should appear on “The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3“

Two rivals who had one of the most famous rivalries in mixed martial arts could end up being on the same side.

Chael Sonnen, who will coach against Wanderlei Silva on “The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3“ has requested former UFC Middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva to be a part of his coaching staff. Although The Spider initially declined the offer, his manager Jorge Guimaraes mentioned that Silva would be open to coaching alongside Sonnen if his schedule was open.

Silva is set to take on Chris Weidman at UFC 168, Dec. 28 while filming for “TUF Brazil 3“ will start in January, 2014. While Silva may want to take some time away from the sport – whether he beats Weidman or not – I think him coaching on Team Sonnen would be a great opportunity, not only the fighters competing on the show, but also for Silva, who has never been a coach on any incarnation of “TUF.”

If Silva cannot commit to a full season, he could always make a guest appearance on the show and speak with Sonnen’s team.
