Five week after his decision win over Anthony Lapsley, “The Kansas City Bandit” Jason High knows the identity of his first opponent for 2014.
According to a report on MMAJunkie.com, High announced that he will face undefeated prospect Beneil Dariush at UFC Fight Night 24, Jan. 14, 2014. He was originally scheduled to face Russian-native Adlan Amagov, who pulled out of the fight due to injury.
This is not the first time The Kansas City Bandit has played the part of the Octagon Welcoming Committee. In his last fight he defeated newcomer Anthony Lapsley. He has won two of his three last fights and will certainly be looking for a quick win that will hopefully move up the welterweight ladder.
Dariush comes in with a 6-0 record with five of his victories being finishes. This will be a big step in competition for the California-native. If he can pull the upset and defeat High, he could have a nice, lengthy run in the UFC.
