Whoever comes out the victor of the Miesha Tate vs. Ronda Rousey title match at tomorrow’s event will know the identity of their next opponent.

UFC President Dana White confirmed that undefeated Brazilian fighter Cat “Alpha” Zingano will get the next crack at the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title, if she is in fighting condition when the time comes.

Zingano had earned the right to face Rousey after she finished Tate at “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Jones vs. Team Sonnen” finale earlier this year. She had been set to coach against the “Rowdy” one on “TUF 18” until an injury and surgery sidelined her from competition. Since then Tate has stepped up in the Alpha’s coach and title contender role.

Although the Alpha Cat has been sidelined, I think it’s great that the UFC is still giving her a chance to fight for the belt.

While Zingano is truly the next in line for a title match, the question remains who will she face?

On one hand, a match between Zingano and Rousey would prove just who is the best fighter at 135 pounds. On the other hand, Tate could end up winning the belt from Rousey and I’m sure “Cupcake” would love a chance to avenge the TKO loss she suffered at the hands of Zingano.
