UFC Middleweight champion Chris Weidman was successful in his title defense against former titleholder Anderson “The Spider” Silva.

Yet the fight may not have been what he had expected. He blocked a kick from Silva, which resulted in The Spider breaking his leg.

In this backstage interview, Weidman discusses his reaction to the leg break and how he felt bad for Silva’s injury. The champion also discusses his thought process during the second round.

Weidman mentions that there are a “lot of angry Brazilians” looking to face him, but he will leave his next fight up to UFC President Dana White.
