It appears that “The Kansas City Bandit” Jason High will have to postpone fighting in 2014.
High sent out a tweet about him being in the hospital for a ruptured appendix. Although the surgery will most likely be a successful one, High will not be able to fight for some time.
F*** appendicitis & anybody that love him. @MikeKogan Sorry @UFC & Beniel. Obviously wont be able 2 fight. *sad face*
High was scheduled to face newcomer Baneil Dariush at UFC Fight Night 35, Jan. 15, at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga. He was set to face Adlan “The Wolf” Amagov; however the Russian fighter withdraw from the bout due to injury.
The Kansas City Bandit is coming off a win over Anthony Lapsley at UFC 167, back in November 2013. There is no word if the UFC will look for a replacement opponent for Dariush for the event.
We here at Cage Pages wish High the best and we hope he has a speedy recovery.
