According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, former UFC Light Heavyweight champion and current Bellator fighter Tito Ortiz was arrested Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, after he crashed his vechicle on a Las Angeles highway.

Officers stated that Ortiz was driving north on the I-405 freeway with two unknown passengers when he collided with the center median wall. When officers arrived on scene, and Ortiz agreed to a field sobriety test.

Ortiz, 38, was arrested on suspicion at 4:37 a.m., and booked into jail at 6:08 a.m. PT, records show. According to inmate records, he posted a $15,000 bond and was released that morning.

There is no further information at this time. If it is true that Ortiz did drive under the influence, I hope that he at least learns his lesson, especially since he had two unnamed passengers in the vehicle with him.
