UFC announces 5 events scheduled for Canada in 2014

The director of UFC operations in Canada, Tom Wright was on hand in Quebec City Wednesday afternoon—along with a slew of Canadian MMA fighters (Patrick Cote, Sarah Kaufman, Sam Stout, TJ Grant, and Alex Garcia)—to announce the UFC’s scheduled events for Canada upcoming in 2014. Since 2008, the UFC has hosted 14 total events in Canada. This year, there will be a record high 5 events in 2014.

First event being the The Ultimate Fighter: Nations finale on April 16th in Quebec City, Quebec at the Colisee Pepsi. This will be the first UFC event in Quebec City.

Fights currently announced for this card are:
Main Event between TUF Nation coaches: Patrick Cote (19-8) vs Kyle Noke (20-6)
Sam Stout (21-9-1) vs KJ Noons (11-6)Mitch Gagnon (10-2) vs Tim Gorman (8-2)
Welterweight and Middleweight finals of TUF Nations are expected to be on this card as well.

Tickets go on sale for this card to the UFC Fight Club members on February 26th at 10am. General public on Friday, February 28th at 10 am.

UFC will also return to Vancouver, British Columbia for the 3rd time—after not scheduling an event in 2012 or 2013—for UFC 174 on June 14th at Rogers Arena.

UFC 178 in Toronto, Ontario on September 27th at the Air Canada Centre. Toronto’s 5th event in 4 years.

Just 1 week later, the UFC will move East of Toronto for a 2nd event in Canada in as many weeks. For the first time, the UFC will go to Atlantic Canada for UFC Fight Night in Halifax, Nova Scotia on October 4th at the Metro Centre.

And finally to finish the year, UFC will be going back to Montreal, Quebec for their 7th event at the Bell Centre, UFC 181 on December 6th.

In addition to this, Tom Wright announced that the UFC will be launching a UFC Fan Experience—interactive fan events and PPV viewing parties—that will visit British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario. No has been date set, but these fan experience events will fall between May and August.
