Two more fights added to TUF Nations Finale, Bisping vs Kennedy headliner

Two more fights were announced Thursday for the TUF Nations Finale in Quebec City, Quebec on April 16th at the Colisee Pepsi. One being the likely headliner of the event, Michael Bisping vs Tim Kennedy. And a battle between two lightweight grapplers, Mark Bocek and Evan Dunham.

Michael Bisping (24-5) received some great news Thursday from the doctors, that he passed all the eye tests and could be begin training. Bisping had suffered detached retina training for his fight against Mark Munoz for UFC Fight Night 30 (London) in October, and has been sidelined since. ‘The Count’ last fought on UFC 159 in April 2013, which ironically resulted in a technical decision after he poked opponent Alan Belcher in the eye, and ended the fight.

No surprise, Michael Bisping was ecstatic about the news:

Tim Kennedy (17-4) comes off a 1st round knockout loss of Rafael Natal at Fight for the Troops 3 in November. He has been consistently taunting Bisping on twitter for this fight, and now the grudge match will come to fruition. Kennedy currently rides a 3 fight win streak (dating back to Strikeforce), with wins over Roger Gracie and Trevor Smith.

Joe Ferraro confirmed the news via Dana:

The 2nd fight sees Canadian Mark Bocek (11-5) fighting on home soil once again. After missing the entire 2013 suffering an injury. He was scheduled to take on Michel Prazeres at UFC 165 in September before having to pull out. Bocek had previously been on a two-fight win streak (John Alessio and Nik Lentz), but was defeated by Rafael dos Anjos via unanimous decision at UFC 154 in November of 2012.

Evan Dunham (14-5) is looking to avoid a third straight loss after suffering a loss via triangle choke to Donald Cerrone at UFC 167 in November. Dunham has just one win—a split decision over Gleison Tibau—in his last 4 fights.
