Team Alpha Male looking for new Head Coach as Duane Ludwig leaves

As reported by Ariel Helwani on UFC Tonight Wednesday evening, the famed Team Alpha Male camp out of Sacramento, California is set to part ways with their current head coach, Duane “Bang” Ludwig after May 24th. As a result, the camp led by the likes of Urijah Faber, Joseph Benavidez, Chad Mendes, and Danny Castillo, are now looking for a replacement head coach.

Duane Ludwig came on as the head coach of Team Alpha Male in December of 2012. The former professional kickboxer and MMA fighter, quickly helped develop the striking skills of the already top fighters within the camp. Bang’s impact was most evident in the cage when Team Alpha Male fighters performed and showcased their newly improved striking with an increase in knockouts and TKOs. Leading to the team dubbing themselves the ‘Bangzilians’ as a tribute to their coach.  As a result, Duane Ludwig was named the 2013 Fighters’ Only Coach of the Year.

Citing moving back home to Colorado and starting his own gym as the reason for his departure, Duane Ludwig told MMAFighting.com.

Team Alpha Male has already put out a release in search to fill the upcoming void for their head coaching position.
