Injury forces Mike Ricci out of Titan FC 28 fight with George Sotiropoulos

Fresh off a victory a 1st round TKO victory Titan FC 27 over Jorge Gurgel, Mike Ricci (9-4) was all set to jump right back into the Titan Fighting Championships cage at Titan FC 28, against George Sotiropoulos. However an unfortunate undisclosed injury has now sidelined Ricci and forced him to withdraw from the fight.

The fight between the two former UFC lightweights was expected to headline Titan FC’s next event. But has now left George Sotiropoulos without an opponent for his Titan FC debut–Ricci suggests that he’ll be ready to fight on June 6th.

Titan FC 28, which is scheduled to take place on April 25th, and air live on CBS Sports Network, currently has a total of 4 fights signed and announced according to their website. Many of them featuring notable fighters that have competed in the UFC.
