Just one week removed from being released from the UFC after a 21-fight career with the promotion, the 31 year Melvin Guillard has quickly found employment with another promotion. Guillard received several offers from different promotions, but he ultimate decided on one, and the World Series of Fighting has signed the lightweight to a contract.

The TUF 2 alum, Melvin Guillard (31-13-2, 2 NC) went 12-8, 1 NC in the UFC over a 9 year span–with notable wins over Dennis Siver, Gleison Tibau, Jeremy Stephens, and most recently, Mac Danzig.

‘The Young Assassin’ now joins the lightweight division in WSOF, which includes the likes of Justin Gathje, Nick Newell, and JZ Cavalcante.

WSOF Vice President suggests that Melvin Guillard will make his debut for WSOF in July.
