Titan FC 28 Moved From April to May

Titan Fighting Championship will put their next event on hold until May. Titan FC 28, originally scheduled to take place on April 25th in Kansas City, Missouri, has now been pushed back to May 16th in Newkirk, Oklahoma and will be held at the First Council Casino Hotel.

First reported by MMAFighting.com, the main card will feature six bouts and air on CBS Network, while the prelims will be available on CBSSports.com. According to MMAFighting, Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson cites the reason for postponing the event was due to the injuries suffered by fighters on the card.

“I refused to put out a subpar fight card when just this weekend three more fighters got hit with the injury bug,” Aronson said.

Just the main event alone has gone through drastic changes over the past months, the main event for Titan FC 28 was originally supposed to feature a lightweight fight between Mike Ricci and George Sotiropoulos, but that was cancelled due to an injury suffered by Mike Ricci.

The new main event was then the original co-main on the card, between Vinny Magalhaes and Jason Brilz, however that too would be derailed due to a staff infection suffered by Magalhaes prior to Metamoris III. Magalhaes was then replaced by Raphael Davis as the new main event, opposite Jason Brilz.
