TUF Nations Finale weigh-in results: Bisping, Kennedy cleared

Colisée Pepsi in Quebec City, Canada plays host to an intriguing mid-week card, as #5 ranked middleweight Michael Bisping hopes to finally continue his path to a UFC title shot, facing #8 ranked ex-marine Tim Kennedy in the main event. The two have engaged in a war of words leading up to the fight, with spoof videos, Twitter exchanges and harsh words leading up to their scheduled five-round fight. As both are top 10 fighters with impressive resumés, this should be an entertaining one. The pair had a fun stare-down, exchanging words, poking each other and Kennedy smiling throughout.

In the co main event, the coaches square off as welterweights Patrick Côté and Kyle Noke meet in the middle. Both fighters are coming off wins in a stacked division, and a victory is crucial if either fighter hopes to make a run at the title in the future. With both fighters 34, time is running out, but an impressive victory could do big things for either fighter. The main card also plays host to the two TUF Nations finale bouts, as middleweights Sheldon Westcott and Elias Theodorou, and welterweights Chad Laprise and Olivier Aubin-Mercier battle it out to be crowned TUF champions. All four fights are representing Team Canada, guaranteeing the Canadians victory in both tournament brackets.

Featherweights Dustin Poirier and Akira Corassani also meet in the Octagon with significant momentum behind them. With Poirier winning two in a row and Corassani winning his last three, this bout has implications on the 145lbs title picture, and pits two of the most entertaining featherweights against one another.  The pair shared the most intense staredown of the weigh-ins, almost getting into a scrap, with Poirier pushing Corassani and Akira looking on the verge of hitting his opponent. The preliminary card also has entertaining match-ups between Sam Stout and KJ NoonsSarah Kaufman and short notice opponent Leslie Smith, and bantamweights George Roop and Dustin Kimura.

The full weigh-in results can be seen below.

NB: Stout and Noons were originally scheduled to fight at lightweight, but just days ago agreed to square off at welterweight. Therefore the maximum limit for their weigh-in is 171lbs.
