Jessica Rakoczy looks to make octagon return in fall

Canadian fighter Jessica Rakoczy is not done with the UFC just yet.

“The Ultimate Fighter 18“ runner-up is looking to make her return to the octagon at the Sept. 27 event in Toronto, according to reports. Rakoczy hasn’t competed since she lost to Julianna Pena in the finals of the “TUF 18“ women’s bantamweight tournament back in November.

Despite the loss to the “Venezuelan Vixen” and her 1-4 record, Rakoczy brings a lot to the UFC. Throughout “TUF,” she showed that she belonged with some of the top fighters in the world, picking up wins over Revelina Berto, Roxanne Modafferi and Raquel Pennington to get to the final round of the tournament.

Rakoczy also sports a 33-3 1NC professional boxing record, with 11 knockouts, which makes her one of the most dangerous strikers in the UFC Women’s 135-pound weight class.

If Rakoczy does return in September, she would have extra motivation competing in front of her fellow Canadians.

There are several fighters in the women’s bantamweight division who could be a good opponent for Rakoczy. One who comes to mind is Jessamyn “The Gun” Duke, who is coming off of a decision loss against Bethe Correira back in April. Another opponent could be Peggy “The Daywalker” Morgan, who lost to Duke back in November.
