Sarah Alpar graduates from West Texas A&M University

For many competitors it is difficult to balance training, fighting and life. Yet there are some athletes who go the extra mile add school to everything else on their plate.

That’s what Sarah “Too Sweet” Alpar has done as she recently graduated from West Texas A&M University with a BS in sports and exercise science. Alpar’s Facebook page has been flooded with well-deserved “congratulations.”

It’s great to see fighters – or anyone for that matter – to see their hard work come into fruition and I’m sure it wasn’t easy. In the last year Alpar went 1-1 in competition, scoring a decision win over Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger , as well as a loss against Delaney Owen.

Alpar joins numerous sports stars who have graduated from West Texas A&M, including Dory Funk Jr. and his brother Terry, both of whom are from her hometown of Amarillo, Texas.

So on behalf of Cage Pages I would personally like to congratulate Alpar on this accomplishment. It hasn’t even been a year since I graduated college and it’s still the proudest moment of my life.

As for her next fight, the sky is the limit and I’m sure Alpar will have success down the road.
