Former UFC welterweight champion, Georges St. Pierre continues to find work outside of the cage, and on the big screen. GSP finds himself as part of the cast in the remake of the 1989 movie, Kickboxer. St. Pierre now follows the footsteps of one of his idols, Jean-Claude Van Damme, who starred in the original. It has not been announced which role GSP will play in the movie. St. Pierre recently appeared in his first blockbuster movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Also announced as part of the cast is WWE wrestler and actor, Dave Bautista, who stars in the upcoming movie Guardians of the Galaxy.
The leading role in the remake of Kickboxer has been given to stuntman Alain Moussi, he has worked in movies such has X-Men: Days of Future Past, Pacific Rim, and White House Down.

Kickboxer tells the story of David and Kurt Sloan, the descendants of a well-known Venice, Calif., fighting dynasty. When David wins the Karate World Championship, a promoter lures him to Hong Kong, despite his brother’s protestations that the man is a crook. When Kurt travels to Thailand to meet his brother, he discovers he has died and seeks his revenge.
