Miesha Tate interviewed on the red carpet at Sports Spectacular Gala

Former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight champion Miesha “Cupcake” Tate was seen at the Sports Spectacular 2014 gala and interviewed by ES News.

Tate was asked about her next opponent and the former Strikeforce champion said she is open to fighting anyone.

Among the subjects Tate was asked included her opponent Ronda Rousey refusing to shake her hand after their fight back in December 2013. Tate said she is not a fan of Rousey as person but respects her as an athlete.

She also gave some advice to women who want to be young fighters, basically saying “put your nose to the grind” and not giving up. Her boyfriend and trainer Bryan Caraway jumps in and shares a few words.

As for being at the event, Tate said it was for a good cause and she was there to support Dana White, who was honored for “changing the landscape of the sports world.”

All in all a short, but good interview. If you have a few minutes to kill, I recommend watching it.
