The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America cast announced

The cast for the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America has been announced by the UFC. The season will be coached by UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and #1 ranked contender Fabricio Werdum. The filming of the TUF season began on May 13th.

The season will debut on UFC Fight Pass in late August for countries outside of Latin America, and will debut on the week of August 18 for the following countries listed below. UFC Network, a channel exclusive to Latin America, will air the first episode on August 24.

Paraguay – Telefuturo
Uruguay – Channel 10

The show will see both Velasquez and Werdum coaching eight fighters each, with four bantamweight and four featherweight fighters on each team. The two coaches are then scheduled to fight at UFC 180 in Mexico City on November 15 for the UFC heavyweight title. The finalists from both the bantamweight and featherweight tournament brackets are scheduled to fight at the TUF: Latin America finale in November.
