TUF Brazil 3 Finale Fight Pass results: Abreu, Pezao & Munhoz win

The TUF Brazil 3 Finale kicked off with three finishes in the UFC Fight Pass preliminary portion. Team Silva middleweight semi-finalists Ricardo Abreu and Wagner Silva squared off in the final UFC Fight Pass preliminary bout, with Abreu rocking Silva multiple times before sinking in the rear naked choke in the second round. Abreu was aggressive throughout the fight and that ultimately led to his first UFC win.

Marcos Rogerio de Lima knocked fellow heavyweight Richardson Moreira out just 20 seconds into their fight. ‘Pezao’ made a big statement with the one punch knockout, landing a big right hook that dropped Moreira before following it up with a big punch on the ground that ended the fight. Now 11-2 and unbeaten in his last five, de Lima is expected to stay in the heavyweight division, while opponent Moreira will likely move down in weight class.

De Lima was eliminated in the semi finals by Team Silva member Antonio Carlos jr. via first round submission. Carlos jr. fights on the main card in the heavyweight bracket finale against Team Sonnen’s Vitor Miranda.

After losing his UFC debut, bantamweight prospect Pedro Munhoz lived up to his pre-UFC hype by dominating Matt Hobar en route to a first round finish. Munhoz was the more powerful striker and overcame his reach and height disadvantage by coming inside and landing big strikes. With effective striking, savvy submissions and good takedown ability, the Brazilian showed an all-rounded offence in his TKO win at the 2:47 mark of the first round.
