Rumor has it that “Trouble” is coming to the octagon this summer.
According to reports, the UFC has signed Canadian fighter Valerie Letourneau to face Russian fighter Miliana Dudevia at UFC 174 in June. Letourneau is replacing Germaine de Randamie, who was originally supposed to fight at the event but was removed due an injury or visa issues.
The Canadian star is 5-3 in her professional MMA career and returned to action earlier this year, finishing Jordan Moore in 34 seconds. She was a contestant on “TUF 18“ but lost the elimination fight to get into the house. She also signed a contract with Invicta Fighting Championships earlier this year.
Dudieva comes into her octagon debut on a two-fight winning streak. Back in April she defeated Daria Chibisova via submission. Before that she faced Anastasia Plisenkova where she secured an armbar and forced Plisenkova to tap in 32 seconds.
I would say Letourneau isa more well-rounded fighter than “The Iron Lady” and carries more experience under her belt. She also trains with American Top Team, which features some of the best talent – male and female – in MMA.
