Battlegrounds MMA was originally scheduled to hold their one night, eight-man elimination welterweight tournament dubbed ‘O.N.E.’, on June 27th in Tulsa, Oklahoma. However, that event has now been pushed back to October 3rd in the same venue, BOK Center.
The eight welterweights competing for the grand prize of $50,000 and the title of tournament winner are:
- Dennis Hallman (53-14-2, 1 NC)
- Cody McKenzie (15-4)
- Chris Honeycutt (4-0)
- Luigi Fioravanti (24-11)
- David Mitchell (14-4)
- Trey Houson (11-2)
- Roan Carneiro (16-9)
- Brock Larson (37-8)

In addition, a welterweight tournament reserve bout will take place on the event between Marcus Sanchez (4-0) and Jordan Smith (18-6).
In non-tournament, Superfight action on the card, Ryan Couture (7-3) will face Jonny “The King of Late Night” Carson (11-6).
Battlegrounds MMA President, Kenny Monday also announced that the O.N.E. event will be airing on Pay-Per-View due to the demand from the audience.
“This is a tremendous step forward for our two year old company that will allow us to bring BattleGrounds MMA’s world-class competitive platform to a live, national audience for the first time,” said BattleGrounds MMA President Monday. “We truly appreciate all the support and enthusiasm that the fans and our fighters have shown us. On October 3, we are going to show our gratitude by giving MMA fans throughout the U.S. the opportunity to take in all the action live from their homes.”
BattleGrounds MMA ‘O.N.E.’ will be distributed in the United States by Integrated Sports Media for live viewing, beginning at 10 p.m. EST/7 p.m. PST on October 3 on both cable and satellite pay-per-view carriers iN DEMAND, DirecTV, DISH and Avail-TVN. The price point for the live pay-per-view telecast as well as other details will be announced soon.
