Ashlee Evans-Smith could be WSOF Women’s 135 champ

CFA Women’s Featherweight tournament champion Ashlee Evans-Smith took the next big step in her career after she finished Marciea “Black Widow” Allen in her World Series of Fighting debut, June 21, at WSOF 10 in the promotion’s first women’s bantamweight bout.

The fighter who dethroned the hyped Fallon Fox back in October 2013 finished the Black Widow in the third round via TKO.

Although WSOF has only had one women’s bantamweight bout, I think they should crown a champion and stack that weight division and because she won the first 135-pound female bout, I think Evans-Smith should be the first WSOF Women’s Bantamweight champion or at the very least be one of the competitors in that match.

Evans-Smith is already a champion and has been gaining popularity among MMA fans. WSOF has a chance to build her into one of their stars. As for competition and finding fighters, there are several stars across the world that they could bring in to beef up their 135-pound weight class with Evans-Smith at the top of the mountain.
