DeAnna Bennett submits Colleen Schneider

Undefeated prospect DeAnna “The Argentine Assassin” Bennett made a big step in her budding career.

Bennett defeated former Super Fight League Women’s Flyweight champion Colleen “Thoroughbred” Schneider at last night’s Showdown Fights 14 event. The Assassin submitted Schneider a rear naked choke, three minutes into the first round.

Bennett is now 4-0 with three of her victories being first-round finishes. In her last fight, back in January, she submitted Sharon Jacobson with a rear naked choke in round one. She made her professional debut back in 2012 where she beat veteran Andrea “Killer” Miller via TKO. Her only decision win was against “The Ultimate Fighter 18″ winner Julianna “The Venezuelan Vixen” Pena in February 2013.

This is a big win for Bennett that could lead to more opportunities down the road, including fighting in Invicta Fighting Championships or the UFC. The latter could build a rematch around Bennett and Pena in an effort to not only build The Venezuelan Vixen’s return or rise in the women’s rankings, but also give the Argentine Assassin some notoriety to fans who don’t know her.

All Bennett needs to do is continue down the path she’s on and I’m sure we could see her in the octagon.
