After six Pay Per Views, two FOX cards, three Ultimate Fighter Finales, and eleven Fight Nights, the UFC closes its doors on the first half of 2014. Plenty of events have occurred in the first six months of the year, from amazing fights to new champions to behind the scenes controversy to many other stories.

The UFC has entered nine different countries in the six month span, more than the amount of countries the promotion has entered in all of 2013. This is only the beginning as more new markets and countries will be invaded by the UFC in the next six months and most likely, the next few years.

Before we enter the second half of the year, let’s look back at the past six months and recognize the best fights, fighters, knockouts, submissions, events and other notable stories of the first half of 2014. Who knows? These could turn out to be the best of the year.
