Sarah Moras gets UFC win, post fight interview

After being sidelined with an injury at the end of “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate,” Canadian fighter Sarah Moras made her UFC debut and what a debut it was.

Moras took on the undefeated Alexis “Sneaky Zebra” Defuresne on “TUF: Team Edgar vs. Team Penn” finale. After three rounds, the fighter known to fans as “Cheesecake” picked up a decision win. This fight wasn’t with out some controversy as Dufresne failed to make weight and the bout ended up being a 143-pound catchweight contest.

This is a good for Moras, who now joins several of her fellow “TUF contestants. But now that she has her first victory in the octagon, there are several opponents who could provide her a good contest.  One possible foe could be fellow Canadian fighter Valerie “Trouble” Letourneau, who is coming off a win over Elizabeth Phillips back in June. Both Letoureau and Moras are good scrappers could provide an entertaining bout for the fans.

Another possible opponent is Team Tate teammate Raquel Pennington, who defeated Moras back at Invicta FC 2 back in 2012. Pennington is coming off a loss against Jessica Andrade at UFC 171.

MMA H.E.A.T. just posted an interview with Moras, who talks about not only the match, but also how she likes to have fun in her fights and how she plans to celebrate. It’s six minutes and I suggest you watch it.
