The World Series of Fighting made their network debut on NBC last Saturday, July 5th, also the first time NBC had aired an MMA event on their telecast. The event, WSOF 11 aired in the afternoon between 2pm est to 4pm est, from Daytona, Florida.
News came out today from WSOF’s PR, that WSOF 11 drew an average of 906,000 viewers on NBC, which is a record for a WSOF telecast.

WSOF 11 saw Justin Gaethje defend his lightweight championship, defeating Nick Newell in the 2nd round by knockout. The four fight main card that aired on NBC also saw notable names Jon Fitch, Melvin Guillard, and Cody Bollinger emerge victorious in their bouts.
WSOF 11 was competing with the World Cup quarterfinal match between Netherlands and Costa Rica–airing at the same time slot as the event. Also, UFC 175 was on the same day, later that evening.
The past 10 WSOF events have aired exclusively on the NBC Sports Network, with the audience rating hovering in and around 200,000 viewers with every event. Most recently, WSOF 10 had drawn a record 365,000 viewers in June.
