Peggy Morgan returns to the cage at Invicta FC 8

With Lauren Murphy signing with the UFC and Invicta Fighting Championships heading into a new era, Peggy Morgan could be a star for the promotion’s 135-pound division. She just has to get through her foray inside the Invicta cage.

“The Daywalker” will face Mexico’s Irene “Robles” Aldana at Invicta FC 8, Sept. 6.

MMA fans got to know Morgan a little bit during her time on “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate.” She dropped a decision to Jessamyn “The Gun” Duke on the show’s finale. Prior to her appearance on “TUF,” Morgan had back-to-back wins over Revelina Berto and Kaline Medeiros.

Adala recently experienced a set back in her career, suffering a third-round TKO loss against Larissa Moreira Pacheco in December 2013. Before that fight she scored three-consecutive first-round knockout wins.

This fight should be quite a scrap. While Aldana has good striking, Morgan has shown the world she can take some punishment and return it to her opponent. The Daywalker also has a slight height advantage.

If Morgan wins this fight, she could be a contender for Invicta’s bantamweight title.
