Canadian fighter Valerie Letourneau will enjoy what little of summer she has left before she steps into the octagon for her second UFC bout.
UFC officials announced that Letourneau will face Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night, Sept 13, at the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasila, Brazil.
Letourneau, also known as “Trouble,” is coming off a split-decision win over Elizabeth Phillips back in June. She has won five of her six last fights, with all but the Phillips victory being finishes.
As for Andrade, she has been on a roll since her July 2013 loss to Liz Carmouche. She currently has back-to-back wins over Rosi Sexton and Raquel Pennington.
This should be an exciting fight. Both competitors are well-rounded fighters, though Andrade may have the edge when it comes to submissions on paper. They also have what it takes to finish a fight while taking a lot of punishment.
A win for Andrade could possibily move her up a couple of spots on the rankings while a victory for Veltourneau would help break break into the top 10 rankings.
